The Superior King Room provided a large bed and a fridge, which made me feel right at home. The food served was absolutely brilliant, well-cooked, and offered large portions at good value. I enjoyed trying a different meal each night, as I didn’t feel the need to venture out for dining. The room itself was comfortable and had a great shower, perfect after a long day. I was occasionally disturbed by noise from the bar below, especially during the evenings. Thankfully, this quieted down by 11:30 PM, but it might be a concern for light sleepers.

My stay was fraught with issues. the steep fire escape is not ideal for anyone with luggage or mobility challenges. After a long day, climbing those stairs was infuriating, especially since the pub was closed when we returned. The damp bathmat upon arrival was off-putting, with a lingering odor that should have been addressed before our stay. I expected cleanliness, unfortunately, that was not the case.
